LucaFiligheddu.com: I love shopping in the US

    1) After paying the duty (15%) and VAT (20%) the price is the same ... (unless you plan to smuggle in your goods .... which is unethical)
    2) Generally speaking to eat in the US is usually a lot cheaper then in Europe.
    3) That's good on your point of view, but for an European company is now very hard to be competitive with an US company (selling products or services..), sure is good for your personal finances...

Holiday in Europe ? If you are wealthy...u don't care.... otherwise you head somewhere else... and there are lots of nice places around the world .....
Europe is just loosing the battle with they ridiculous over priced currency...

It's painful! I'm currently in England and my bank statement is bleeding. Everything costs what I would expect it to cost in dollars but then when I look at my credit card statement or my account, it has cost me twice. A Starbucks coffee is around £3 but it actually costs me over $6! The dollar is absolutely pitiful right now. It is embarrassing as an American.

I just have to pretend a £ is a £ is a £ and forget that it is actually $2 or I'll just worry and be a cheapskate the whole trip. :)
