This is nothing else than Futurephone, a weird Iowa toll number that costs you at least 6 cents or more per minute. The state of Iowa, or better these bogus companies, take advantage of an FCC kickback supported by the US Universal Service Fund (USF), so the company generating the calls makes money out of the USF and you. I'm more than sure that this isn't allowed to continue for long -- that's really not what the USF is for! Don't get fooled by these services!

Alec Saunders (www.saunderslog.com) has done research on the "Iowa model". While it is creative, I don't think there is any harm in using this. Companies have been doing this for a while before it caught on in the Voip world.

checkout my original hack to use Allfreecalls.net from anywhere in the world.
The gateway numbers posted all are busy whenever I try. I did find another number (712) 945-4444 that does seem to work. It say it is from www.freephonecallz.com. I am wondering if this is the same but under a different brand ?
